As meat consumption in the US continues to rise, suppliers and butchers need to store large quantities of meat to provide quality product to supermarkets and consumers. Available to rentor purchase, refrigerated containers are essential to supplying high volume orders of meat.

To prevent bacteria from spoiling meat, the ideal temperature for storage is 28°F to 32°F.

They can safely maintain both cooler or freezer temps on a consistent basis. For this reason, distributors, processors and packagers choose to utilize refrigerated containers (or reefer containers) to properly store their product. These units are also able to accommodate palletized products.

For customers that don’t need to store palletized products or if 3-phasepower is unavailable, we also offer 20’ walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers. The walk-in can safely maintain temperatures between 0 deg F and 40 deg F and requires 220V single phase power. They are equipped with a single (lockable) door on one end of the unit, making for easy walk-in/walk-outaccess.

Fully insulated with an all electric cooling system, the cold storage units provided by Portable Refrigeration Storage are especially useful during peak season. Meat processors and butchers looking for extra cold storage can handle the overflow of product.
